Middle Room
Here in our middle room we have ‘Amser Cylch’, we dance, we have story time and playtime.
We tend to either have quiet times or noisy times in the library therefore when in here the children are either letting off steam or having a learning through discussion session.
Big Room
In here we have tried to set it out to co-inside with the Foundation Phase for the older children. We try to focus on the Foundation Phase as much as possible but you must appreciate as some children are here for ten hours or more they do also need a lot o quiet time and time to themselves at times There is a carpeted area on one side where the children play. We have sand and water time also for the children to explore and enjoy. Messy play includes paint, play with clay, have mallable play, glue sessions, cutting out with scissors and much more for the children to get to grips with their arty side!
We also try to put emphasise on learning through play whereby we are guided by your child in their learning in all seven areas of the learning.
Baby Room
Here the room is a big open plan with doors leading out onto the playing area.
In the heart of the room we have a big soft play area which attract the children time and time again for play. The room has an area for the little tiny babies who are not yet walking and crawling but can see the older children playing on the other side.
The room has been divided into two sections, carpeted on one side and a non slip on the other side where the children eat and we have our messy play.
Chalk Room
The chalk room has two walls which are chalk boards. Here the children practice their writing and drawing skills. Also in the chalk room is our reading corner.
Reception Area
Here in the front door is where staff greet you at the beginning and end of each session. Parents are also asked to sign their child in and out in this area. It is where we have a television where by parents and visitors can see photos of the children on screen. The older children have their coat pegs and shoe cards here.
Information is on display on walls and leaflets are available for you to take home. If you would like to display an activity please let us know and we will be more than welcome to do so on your behalf.
In all of the above areas of play it is the aim of the staff to make your child feel happy, calm and have enjoyment in their play at all times. By doing this we hope to create happy, healthy children through their play.
